When murder trends too close to home, social media influencer Coco Cline will have to swipe through a sea of trolls to tag a killer.

After cracking her first case, Cordelia "Coco" Cline's life is finally getting back to normal — or as normal as life can be when you have over three million followers online. With a thriving business, a devoted boyfriend, and her two besties living right up the street, Coco is set to have the most fun summer of her life until Larry and Rosalynn Dunmer move into the condo next door.

Coco and her friends do their best to avoid the confrontational duo, but when a party at a swanky new wine bar brings everyone together, things become less than neighborly faster than a celebrity-themed hashtag goes viral. Larry levels some super shady threats toward Coco and her BFF Jasper, which could have dire consequences for their multimedia empires. Just as Coco begins to wonder if she'll have to spend the rest of the summer looking over her shoulder, she gets a shocking request from police. As part of her PR gig with the Central Shores PD, they need her to come to the beach and keep the public at bay. A body has washed ashore.

Thinking a poor swimmer drowned just before the Salute to Summer festival kicks off, Coco arrives to find Larry Dunmer, dead with a corkscrew sticking out of his neck. What's even more unbelievable is that Jasper quickly shoots to the top of Chief McInnis's suspect list. In full-on panic mode, Coco decides to use her tech-savvy sleuthing skills to clear her best friend's name before his rep is ruined. She soon discovers that Larry made quite a few enemies during his very short stay in town. But who hated him enough to kill him?

Return to the beaches of Central Shores as Coco Cline and her squad assemble to catch a killer before they get canceled… permanently.

About the Character Interview

What is your full name? Do you have a nickname? My full name is Cordelia Cline, but please don’t tell anyone that. When I was young, I never felt like the name Cordelia fit who I truly was. So, when I was in high school, I rebranded myself! I love being called Coco. Only my parents use my given name, still (despite my begging them not to).

What is your occupation? Are you any good at it? Do you like it? What is your ideal job? I juggle a few different positions. I run a popular lifestyle blog, Trending Topic, where I post entertainment news, beauty tips, décor advice, and more. I also started my own social media consulting firm called Center of Attention. I help small businesses boost their online footprint and amp up their social media presence. And if that doesn’t keep me busy enough, I also consult with the Central Shores Police Department and serve as their PR spokesperson. Based on my large online following and growing business, I’m pretty good at what I do and love it!

When you’re not working, what fills your time? Free time is something I don’t come across very often, but when I do, I try to make the most of it by hanging out with my amazing boyfriend, Hudson, and my besties, Charlotte and Jasper. We’ll go out to dinner or head to the beach. And I’m always game to squeeze in the occasional shopping trip to TJ Maxx or one of the cute boutiques at the strip.

What is your favorite childhood memory? Meeting Jasper Hastings at the bus stop in second grade after he’d moved to our hometown of Central Shores, Delaware. We’ve been best friends ever since.

What advice would you give to your younger self? I’m very content with how my life has turned out, so I guess I’d tell my younger self to always be true to who you are. Don’t try to conform; you do you!

What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you? Yikes, that’s hard to pinpoint. As someone who lives her life on social media, awkward things happen to me almost daily. However, I guess accidentally broadcasting my takedown of a murderer through Facebook LIVE was pretty cringe. I’d been trying to call 9-1-1 and hit the wrong button…

What is your greatest achievement? Hmm, the sale of my college startup was pretty incredible. Five friends and I made a mobile app that was eventually acquired by Facebook, which is how I got my start in the influencer space.

What makes you laugh? My friends and funny videos on Instagram Reels.

What is your greatest extravagance? I bought a condo by the beach and a MINI Cooper with the money I got from the startup acquisition. I also bought my parents an addition to their home and made a college fund for my nieces and nephew, so everyone in my family enjoyed my good fortune.

What are your pet peeves? Being late. People who are inconsiderate of others. Being late. Texting while driving. Being late. Cold weather. Did I mention being late?

Tell us something about yourself that no one else knows. Recently, I’ve been having panic attacks after coming face-to-face with a killer, and I hate being home alone at night.

What is always in your fridge? Iced tea and Mike’s Hard Lemonade.

What is your most treasured possession? I’d be really lost without my cell phone. It contains my entire life on it.

If your life is made into a movie, is it a comedy or drama? Who plays you? I think it would be a comedy for the most part, although it would have some dramatic moments (such as unmasking a killer). And who would play me? Gosh, what I wouldn’t give to see Blake Lively, Jennifer Lawrence, or Sophie Turner step into the role. But hey, I would also be willing to play myself. I do enjoy the spotlight.

What is your favorite movie? TV show? Too many to choose from! I do love Mean Girls — Jasper, Charlotte, and I have movie nights with this one. As for TV, Moira Rose is my idol from Schitt’s Creek.

What is your favorite song, and why? I love “Roar” by Katy Perry. It’s such a powerful anthem. When I listen to it, I feel like I can achieve anything.

What did you eat for breakfast? Did you make it yourself? I know breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but I’m usually so busy that all I have is coffee. However, I love a bagel when I have the time, and it tastes even better when Hudson — my boyfriend — makes it for me.

Describe your perfect day. I’d start the day by ensuring all my social media notifications were muted. That way, I could tune out the online world and just enjoy time at the beach with my besties and boyfriend. And tacos for dinner, of course!
