One of the things that first got me into cozy mystery was this idea of control. There was always a very smart detective or sleuth who is looking for control over all the details of a mystery. They are going to bring the clues all into alignment and figure out how to bring down the person who belongs in jail.
I like justice.
So cozies are a natural place for me. I like having Vangie puzzle through all of the details and find out who’s been hiding a murder. It feels like something is right in the world when that happens.
I hope that the cozies you read (and if you decide to read Vangie) will give you the same joy that they give me. That same sense of justice. And if you do decide to read Vangie, I hope you’ll enjoy her, as well!
