Charley is the Grim Reaper. It turns out that a grim reaper is nothing like the reaper-like third ghost of A Christmas Carol, nor like the ones on the TV show Dead Like Me. Charley is also a private investigator, and helps the Albuquerque police with murder investigations.
If you liked First Grave on the Right, you'll love this one. Charley has a nice balance of Grim Reaping and Detecting in the book. Plus, there's Reyes!
